Enriching Activities and A Supportive Community
Belmont House Nursing Home has a warm, homely atmosphere. Our dedicated team of fully trained care and nursing staff are available to provide tailored and personalised care to residents 24 hours a day.
Our home always puts residents first and we endeavour to go beyond solely providing round-the-clock healthcare, offering a choice of interesting and tailored activities to engage our residents and help them maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Our dedicated Activities and Well-Being Coordinator provides a calendar of varied activities that have been designed to work with each person individually. Residents can choose to enjoy gentle chair-based aerobics, creative arts and crafts afternoons, peaceful gardening activities, and opportunities to reminisce.
We frequently encourage trips outside the home as well, with excursions to local attractions and events and maintaining links to the community by holding our own regular events, community coffee mornings and regularly attending dementia-friendly activities in and around the town. Our staff and residents often take part in activities with the Valley React Group, a dedicated group in the Stocksbridge area providing entertaining and educational activities to those who would otherwise be isolated from their community. This encourages better mental and physical health and allows individuals to connect socially.
Resident Led Dining Experiences
Our Chefs challenge is to keep resident excited about coming to the dining table for their meals, every single day. We understand that presentation is key so every meal is plated with care for our residents, and dining areas are fresh, clean and welcoming. Our menus are varied offering a wide choice as well as having the flexibility to cater for individual tastes and requests. Our hospitality teams involve our residents in planning the weekly menus and regularly ask for feedback by speaking to residents and their families about their meals.

"Quality of care is amazing. The residents have love and attention showered upon them. We visit daily (at different times) and have never seen anything that may cause concern. If it wasn't for Belmont House, I don't think my Dad would still be here."
Gillian R (Daughter of resident)
