Your Precious Moments in Dementia Care
At Lyle House and all our specialised dementia care homes in the UK, we believe that providing quality, unbeatable care is much more than simply providing personal or health care. Our dementia care programmes are created to ensure residents can experience meaningful and precious moments during their time with us, with plenty of opportunities to reminisce and socialise.
Dining Experiences That Make the Difference
At Country Court Care, Lyle House and all our care homes, we know that quality, fresh ingredients and nutritious meal plans can make the world of difference for our resident’s health and wellbeing. To ensure that every meal we offer our residents is both healthy and enjoyable, our in-house catering team prepare all food using only the best wholesome ingredients. Our team is dedicated to preparing excellent quality meals freshly, onsite for residents to enjoy. We also encourage residents and their families to design menus that appeal to their individual tastes.
Excellent Facilities in Spacious Surroundings
Spread over three floors, our 70 bedrooms at Lyle House are spacious, light and airy with plenty of scope for people to personalise their spaces with their own belongings. The things they bring with them help us to get to know people better and often become a talking point, especially for those new to us.
Our communal areas are luxurious and comfortably furnished, with thoughtful touches throughout making people feel relaxed and at home. Dining areas are clean and fresh with tables laid ready for people to enjoy their next meal, making them inviting and sociable spaces. Our cinema room is specially designed for the comfort of all residents to ensure those with sight and hearing difficulties can enjoy the cinema experience too.
Sharing a laugh every day
Our pub, The Cricketer’s Arms, is one of our most popular facilities. Whether it’s a half-pint of bitter, an orange juice or a glass of wine, an hour in the pub is a real social occasion. We want our residents to enjoy life, to be able to relax and share good times with friends, as they always have done.
Serving hot and cold beverages, delicious cakes and bakes and with snacks available around the clock, our cafe is another popular place. Residents often host regular coffee mornings amongst their friendship groups, just as you would arrange to meet up with any of your friends at your favourite coffee shop.

“Unfortunately, I had to have an operation and I was not able to look after my partner. So, it was decided that she had a stay at Lyle House. I'll start off by saying the level of care and the attention to detail is nothing short of perfection.
From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by a warm friendly receptionist or another member of staff. The decor of the building is absolutely spot on (me being a director of my own building company, I notice things) when going into the common room there are plenty of comfortable chairs for everyone and all the guests look very content. The selection of food is varied and exceptionally good.
But the main thing is knowing that the love of my life is being well looked after which takes a lot of stress and worry off my mind. I would highly recommend this facility.” Brian F (Partner of Resident)
“Upon secured entry, you are met with a friendly receptionist and/or homes manager who is always available to answer any questions. The carers are always polite and keep you informed how your relative is doing. There always seem to be cleaners working and all areas are clean and tidy. As a frequent visitor, the standards of excellence are consistent.”
