Lyncroft Care Home provides family-focused and inclusive residential and dementia care that centres on comfort, individuality and providing a calming atmosphere. Having operated as a care home in Wisbech since 1991, Lyncroft’s 39 en suite bedrooms and traditional period building have been fully equipped to enable a completely bespoke approach to care that puts residents first.
Whether you choose to live with us permanently or join us for a shorter period for respite care, you will find personalised and compassionate care is at the very heart of the Lyncroft Care Home philosophy. Our highly trained and dedicated staff team have been loyal to Lyncroft Care Home for many years, including our Home Manager who has worked for Country Court Care for over 25 years. Long standing staff members are able to know each resident individually, forming meaningful connections that are the basis of the care home’s success.
As one of Wisbech’s leading care homes, Lyncroft is active in both the local area and innovative national projects. We were one of the first care homes to be involved in the ‘Red Bag’ scheme launched by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn; a collaboration between local care homes, the East of England Ambulance Service and West Norfolk CCG to improve the care experience residents experience. Furthermore, with an extension and refurbishment set for completion in Summer 2019, Lyncroft Care Home will soon be able to boast even higher quality facilities and amenities for residents to enjoy. A Homely and Relaxing Environment
The key to high-quality care is ensuring that our residents always feel comfortable and at home. To achieve this, the Lyncroft Care Home team are dedicated to getting to know each resident individually, fostering a family atmosphere where everyone in the building truly cares for one another and displays that care freely. Each resident is given space and the opportunity to get directly involved in the life of the home, engaging with staff and other residents alike to build a positive atmosphere. This extends to birthday and special occasions too, with all personal events being celebrated by the staff in Lyncroft.
Beyond this, the relaxed environment also expands to the building itself. Pastel colours and bright, airy rooms fill Lyncroft Care Home with an air of positivity, energising both residents and staff alike. Furthermore, with our extension and refurbishment well underway, we will soon be providing residents with improved facilities such as:
14 new bedrooms
Courtyard seating area
Well-being and Activities
To complement our atmosphere, environment, and dedication to individualised care, we also provide residents with a lively program of activities and events to enjoy. Our Activities and Well-being Coordinators are specifically placed to support residents whenever they require it, helping them enjoy their hobbies and interests. From baking and arts to singing and games, the Lyncroft Care Home team are there to help residents shape their own care experience and inspire future activities.
We also encourage residents to become part of their local community with regular outings into Wisbech, and other local places of interests. To encourage this further, the care home often plays host to local community events and we encourage interaction between attendees and residents to foster an even stronger sense of community unity. Great examples are the local fire brigade and children from local schools and pre-schools who make regular visits to the home.
