Celebrating 20 Years at Ashwood Nursing Home
Ashwood Nursing and Care Home celebrated 20 years of providing high quality care with a Birthday party on Friday 1st December. The Spalding care home held a birthday party from 2pm – 4pm where they were joined by MP John Hayes who helped residents and staff celebrate the milestone.
Staff and residents invited family members, local health care professionals and friends in the local community to join them for the celebration.
“Ashwood has always had a fantastic reputation in Spalding and has won several awards for care over the years” said Suria Webb who was the first manager of Ashwood Care Home and is now Operations Manager at Country Court Care. “Our success has been down to our dedicated and loyal staff at the home”.
“We will be taking this opportunity to thank some of our staff who have been with us at Ashwood for 20 years” said Manu Magar, the current Home Manager. “Our dedicated and long serving staff team are what has made Ashwood such a lovely care home and we would like to take this opportunity to recognise their dedication”.
Staff who have been working at the Nursing Home for 20 years include for Karen Blackham who is a Housekeeper, Senior Carer Dee Fenner and Mark Cook who has had various roles is now a Housekeeper. Mark joined the home through the Shaw Trust Scheme in a voluntary capacity and has been a very loyal, honest and reliable employee over the years.
Ashwood Nursing and Care Home is well regarded in the Spalding area and was awarded a Top 20 Recommended Care Homes Award for the East Midlands for 2017 by carehome.co.uk. The Spalding Nursing Home has been in the East Midlands Top 20 Recommended Care Homes since 2014. The care home opened in December 1997 and Country Court Care took sole ownership in 2006. Ashwood is home to 47 residents and offers nursing, residential and specialist dementia care, the home has an excellent reputation in the local community.
