Lianne has over 20 years of experience in the care sector, starting as a care assistant on leaving school and working her way up to management level.
“There is nothing I ask anyone to do that I haven’t already done myself.” Explains Lianne, demonstrating how she leads by example and focuses on developing her team to be able deliver personalised care for residents. “I enjoy working in the care industry because every day is different and I am always faced with a new challenge. I truly believe that our elderly generation deserve the very best of care and consideration.”
The Care Team was represented by Deputy Manager Teresa Whalley and Cath Winspear, Senior Carer at the awards ceremony. The team was nominated for their enthusiasm to make a difference to the lives of the residents at Lostock Lodge. The home’s recent CQC inspection highlighted how the staff team had a good understanding of people’s individual likes and dislikes, their histories, family members, interests and hobbies.
“There is a great rapport at Lostock Lodge between the staff team and with our residents” said Teresa “we always make sure we get to know everyone and consistently treat them with dignity and respect”.
