Round up of activites at The Grove Care Home

In the run up to Easter and the spring time, a lot has been happening at The Grove Care Home in Waltham.  The 54 bedded home, which became part of the Country Court Care Group in April 2012, and specialises in residential care, has built itself an excellent reputation throughout the local community.

Easter egg Collection

Earlier in the month, residents and staff began collecting Easter eggs, alongside Waltham Funeral Directors. Over 30 Easter eggs were collected on the day for a local charity, which aims to help underprivileged children in the area.

Red Nose Day 2015

The Grove staff members and residents really stepped it up a gear for this year’s Red Nose Day. The day began with musical entertainment from JC. Residents and staff enjoyed the music with lots of dancing. After this was a cake sale, which saw staff being in home-made cakes. A grand total of £154.90p was raised for the residents comfort fund!

Gwen’s 94th Birthday

One of our beloved residents, Gwen, celebrated her 94th birthday with her two daughters named Wendy, who had travelled all the way from the USA, and Carol. They had a wonderful family meal and then enjoyed presents and cake with the other residents.
