Tallington Lodge Care Home delighted with Good CQC report
Residents and staff at Tallington Lodge Care Home are celebrating after receiving their latest CQC Report, rating them ‘Good’ in all areas, following a recent unannounced inspection. Tallington Lodge Care Home provides long term residential and respite care for up to 60 residents in the village of Tallington near Stamford.
The home has recently been extended and completely refurbished with dementia friendly features in order to support people’s wellbeing. Commenting on this one resident told inspectors, “It’s more like home than a home, if you know what I mean.” Another person said, “It is absolutely lovely for us as well as mum”.
The report noted that the culture of the service was caring and focused on ensuring people received person-centred care that met their needs in a timely way. One person told inspectors, "We were invited along to Christmas lunch even though we hadn't yet decided to move in. They were very welcoming right from the start.”
“Our team at Tallington Lodge put our resident’s health and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do every day, we are delighted that this is reflected in the report findings”. said Alykhan Kachra, Managing Director of Country Court Care.
Home Manager, Manju Panankavil was very pleased that the report highlighted the home’s clear vision, putting people at the centre of the service. “We have a lovely homely atmosphere here at Tallington Lodge, staff go above and beyond everyday to ensure people feel well cared for retain their independence.”
People told inspectors that were happy living at Tallington Lodge. One resident commented “I love it here, they’re so good to me”. This was confirmed by family members who commented “I am very happy with the care” and another relative commented “the staff are absolutely brilliant”.
The inspectors found that people were very happy with the food offered. One person commented “The food is fantastic, just what I like”, another person said “The food is very good. If we don’t like the choice, they offer us something else. It’s never a problem”. It was noted that the tables were laid nicely, and food was presented in an appetizing way.
