The Burnham celebrates successful open day
The Burnham Nursing & Care Home opened its doors on Friday 20th January for an Open Day to celebrate the completion of the first phase of an ongoing investment and refurbishment plan.
The luxury refurbishment of the second floor, known as 'The Rookery' was shown off to the public, families, local dignitaries and health care professionals.
The residential floor features seventeen luxury bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms featuring walk-in showers. The new lounge and new dining area have been tastefully furnished and have fantastic roof-top views over Burnham-on-Sea. The kitchen area is designed for residents and their visitors to have the freedom to make hot drinks as and when they need to.
Cllr Michael Clarke, Mayor of Burnham-on-Sea joined the Home Manager Ken Bishop and Country Court Care Managing Director Alykhan Kachra to welcome visitors to the home (pictured right). Ken and his team were happy to show over sixty visitors the many positive changes at the home.
Ken is looking forward to building on the excellent care provided at the home. The Burnham Nursing & Care Home is currently home to 53 residents and offers nursing, residential and dementia care in a homely setting.
