The Grove charity Easter Egg Collection
Residents, staff and families at The Grove Care Home in Waltham got their annual Easter Egg Collection off to a great start this week. The eggs will be given to children being supported by local women's refuge Women's Aid. The collection is organised with David Emberson of J.W Emberson Funeral Directors on Macaulay Street in Grimsby.
J.W Emberson have paired up with North East Lincolnshire's Women's Aid to help provide women and children with essential items most people take for granted. The charity supports women and children who become homeless as a result of domestic violence.
"Our Easter Egg collection will enable children in a difficult situation to have a small treat this Easter time" said Home Manager, Amanda Griffiths "Our residents are very keen to give to this fantastic cause and have been very generous".
Resident Margaret Lamb got the ball rolling by donating the first egg and carer Elaine Smith has been fundraising to buy additional eggs . Margaret Lamb, Sheila Dixon and Elsie Brown proudly show off the collection so far!
Well done everyone.
