The Red House residents enjoy Valentine's Day tea party
Residents at The Red House Nursing Home in Stamford enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea party this Valentine’s Day. The Home Manager presented each resident with a rose and chocolate to mark the occasion, residents were treated to an afternoon of singing and dancing followed by afternoon tea.
“We had a lovely afternoon, the smiles on the resident’s faces said it all” Said Home Manager Gale Bull “I’d like to thank Jason Hardstaff from Morrisons supermarket who generously gave us a voucher so we could buy flowers for the residents”
Residents enjoyed hearing their favourite songs performed by a local singer Nicky, everyone was singing along and many got up for a dance with staff. Following the entertainment residents enjoyed afternoon tea and had the opportunity to vote for their favourite cake in Country Court Care’s ‘Baked with Love’ recipe competition. Residents had previously been invited to send in their favourite cake recipe, the top three were selected by the hospitality team and the same three cakes were baked in all Country Court Care homes on Valentine’s day. Residents had the chance to sample each cake and vote for their favourite. The vote was close but in the end the chose Date and Walnut as their favourite.
