Two Country Court Care homes win regional awards
Country Court Care, a family run care provider, was recently regaled with some fantastic news, that two of their homes had won regional awards. These awards came from carehome.co.uk, the largest online directory for Care Homes in the United Kingdom. In the “top 20 East Midlands category”, Ashwood Nursing Home in Spalding took 5th and Tallington Nursing home have come 9th, out of 1,588. This was based on the number of excellent recommendations from family and residents the homes received.
This is of course not the first time that Country Court Care homes have received awards from Carehome.co.uk. In 2014, 4 of 15 homes were winners, of which two were Ashwood and Tallington. Manager of Ashwood Nursing Home, Daniela Phillips stated: “As Manager of Ashwood Nursing Home I am extremely pleased and proud that we have won this award for the second year running.
All of the staff members are overwhelmed by this achievement and we will decide between the team how we would like to celebrate; a good night out may be on the list! We pride ourselves by saying that Ashwood is the resident’s home and we do everything in our power to make it their home. Ashwood is a very friendly place where everyone has a smile and takes time to speak with residents and visitors alike. A cup of tea is always on hand!
There is a saying “home is where the heart is” and we are happy to say that our residents often say “this is my home and staff are my second family”. The care provided is second to none and this is reflected in receiving this award again.”
Ashwood is a 47 bedroom home in Spalding, and has been part of the Country Court Care portfolio since 2011 and has a phenomenal reputation amongst the local community. Patricia Portor, a daughter of resident stated “Ashwood Nursing Home is a wonderful place, the care my mum gets is fantastic, all the staff are great, friendly, caring and knowledgeable Daniella the manager is so caring and committed! My mum has been in Ashwood almost a year and her care is outstanding. My heartfelt thanks to all who care for her.”
The second home in the Country Court Care group to win an award this year was Tallington Rest Home, who came 9th. Discussing the award, Home Manager Tracey Colley stated: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this award for the second year running. We have all been working extremely hard to maintain are fantastic reputation and it looks like this hard work has once again paid off. We are extremely proud of the wonderful residential and dementia care we offer here at Tallington Rest Home.”
Tallington Rest Home houses 39 residents and was acquired by Country Court Care in 2007. The home has always carried an exemplary reputation, and prides itself on being somewhat of a community hub, servicing the local community and hosting many communal events. Jenny Dawson, a daughter of a resident, stated: “My father has been in the home for nearly a year and we have nothing but praise for the care he receives. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble.”
