Specialist care homes in Burnham-on-sea

Priory Court Care & Nursing Home is situated in the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea, in the beautiful county of Somerset. At Priory Court (formerly The Burnham), we provide high-quality nursing and residential care, specifically tailored to each individual. Our friendly and compassionate care team are dedicated to our residents, whos needs vary but are safe in the knowledge that we are on hand to help and support them throughout the day, every day. Whether this is dedicated nursing care, helping those living with dementia or simply a little bit of personal care for our more independent residents, we do everything we can for your loved ones to get the most out of life at Priory Court. While some people will require one-to-one care in the privacy of their room, others will enjoy the lively and social atmosphere brought on by our activities and well-being programme. Our home is a big part of the local community, with regular guests and visitors and we would love you to be one of them. Come and meet our friendly staff and residents at any time, or call us on 01278 768 000 if you have any questions.

Our 61 bedrooms are various shapes and sizes, with each one offering a bright and airy space for residents to call their own. People are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their keepsakes, providing a real talking point and opportunity for us to get to know them better. Each room has an en-suite shower to promote independence with the resident’s dignity and privacy respected at all times.

Our lounge on the ground floor at Priory Court is comfortable and tastefully furnished, making you feel instantly at home and relaxed. Our newly renovated lounge in The Rookery Suite on the top floor delivers a real wow factor and boasts wonderful roof-top views over Burnham-on-sea.

Dining Room

Our ground floor dining room is bright and comfortable, tables are set ready for the forthcoming meal making mealtimes comfortable and dignified whilst still being a sociable occasion. On the top floor, the dining area in the Rookery Suite is a quiet, luxurious space to dine in style.

Our extensive gardens enable us to invite local organisations to get involved with our home; we love to see people from the local community coming together at events such as our annual Summer Fair. In our courtyard garden, a local street artist has created a vibrant mural of our beach and lighthouse here at Burnham-on-sea, bringing the seaside right into our home.

Fine Dining Experience

Our chefs at Priory Court create a wonderfully varied menu each week for our residents to choose from, with plenty of healthy and nutritious food on offer, there is always something for everyone to enjoy. The chefs work alongside the care team to understand individual dietary needs and requirements. Our Chef Managers undertake specialist training in order to provide innovative texture modified dishes and other meals to cater for specialist diets.

Always keen to keep people excited to come to the dining room, our chef will chat with residents to get first-hand feedback on the day's menu.
