Carpenders Park Care Home Supports Local Community with Food Bank Donations

Residents and staff at Carpenders Park Care Home in Watford have proudly supported the community with generous food bank donations and by pledging their involvement in the cakes4kindness initiative to help combat loneliness with homemade cakes.

‘On National Food Bank Day, Friday 5th September, we delivered a box of food donations to our local Watford Food Bank, thanks to the ongoing support of our residents' families and visitors. The donation included a range of essential items such as tinned foods, dried goods, pasta, sauces, coffee, and more. Our donation box is back in our reception area, should you wish to contribute. Every item helps someone in need.’ Commented Home Manager Claire Masterson.

Carpenders Park Care Home will take part in the Cakes4Kindness initiative for the second time on Thursday, 20th November. This not-for-profit initiative aims to bring joy and connection to those experiencing homelessness through the gift of freshly baked cakes.

‘Our residents are looking forward to joining our kitchen team to decorate cakes to give to those most in need and bring a little happiness into someone’s day.’ Commented Heather Reid, Wellbeing Coordinator.
