Country Court are delighted to announce that its newest care home, Castle Lodge, set to welcome its first residents in January 2026. Located in the heart of Mere near Warminster, the luxury care home will offer residential and dementia care and feature seventy en-suite bedrooms with a range of state-of-the-art facilities for residents and their families.
The care home will bring over 70 new jobs to Mere and aims to play a central role in the life of the local community. The care home will feature a bistro café, hair salon, entertainment suite and landscaped gardens, offering residents opportunities to lead a full and meaningful life with care and support available around the clock.
“I am proud to be the home manager of this beautiful home, Castle Lodge,” said Home Manager Wendy Perkins. “I’m keen to share my experiences of caring for vulnerable older people, and I look forward to getting to know Mere and welcoming the community into our wonderful care home.”
Wendy has extensive experience as a Registered Manager in both care and nursing homes. Wendy joins Castle Lodge from Stanton Court Nursing Home, also a Country Court care home, where she’s been Home Manager since 2006. She led her care team to achieve a Good CQC rating, and the home was awarded the Gold Standards Framework for its outstanding care and dedication to end-of-life care. Wendy is passionate about providing the highest standards of care and support and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experience, as well as getting to know our residents and their families in Mere.
The Care Home will open its doors to the public on Saturday, 10th January, for a Community Open Day, from 10 am until 4 pm. Local residents are warmly invited to tour the home, explore the facilities and sample the home’s mouth-watering menus. The friendly team will be available throughout the day to answer questions about moving into a care home or the services available in Mere.
