Moat House Care Home in Great Easton, Essex, were thrilled to host their first-ever Dog Show, bringing together residents, families, and the local community for a tail-wagging day filled with fun, music, and fundraising.
“We welcomed an incredible 70 guests and an impressive 40 dogs who competed in our show,” said Wellbeing Coordinator, Kerry Pennock.
The day included local stallholders, adding to the lively atmosphere:
“Our judging panel featured resident Jean, representatives from Danaher Animal Home, our Home Manager Tara, two staff members, and myself,” said Customer Relations Manager, Debbie Barber. “Together, we had the challenge of choosing winners from a truly impressive lineup of dogs.”
Chef Manager Mahidhar Simham prepared a selection of cupcakes, cookies, and homemade dog biscuits, while refreshments were served in the coffee lounge, including chilled drinks and fruit squashes for guests and families to enjoy.

“We’re proud to share that we raised a total of £250 on the day, with £150 donated to Danaher RSPCA,” added Customer Relations Manager, Debbie Barber. “We’ll be presenting the donation officially in November.”
