On Thursday 20th November, Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon, part of Country Court, proudly took part in the Cakes4Kindness initiative.
Cake4Kindness is a registered not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to alleviating loneliness and social isolation among people experiencing homelessness through the simple act of sharing cakes.

Customer Relations Manager Katie Peters shared her thoughts on the initiative:
“As part of the Cakes4Kindness campaign, our talented chef baked a selection of homemade cakes for us to donate. We chose to deliver them to our local Salvation Army in Kings Ripton, who focus on supporting young people aged 16–25. We are delighted to support such a wonderful group within our community and to share these treats with both service users and staff.”
Cakes4Kindness encourages individuals and organisations to bake and distribute homemade cakes to local homeless charities, helping to build connections through simple acts of generosity. Their mission is to counter loneliness, promote social connection, and create opportunities for those who need them most.
Ferrars Hall Care Home regularly hosts events and welcomes the local community to join them for their monthly Community Coffee Mornings, held on the last Tuesday of every month from 10am to 12pm.
