Greenwood Court Care Home in Great Baddow, Essex, proudly held its first-ever Dog Show, welcoming residents, families, and members of the local community for a day filled with connection, companionship, and celebration.
The event drew warm praise from local visitors. One guest commented that the home felt more like a hotel and said she would be recommending Greenwood Court.
Resident judges took great joy in selecting winners from a wonderful line up of canine contestants. John, 94, said, “It’s been a fantastic day.” Colin, 91, noted he “really enjoyed it,” while Pam, 89—who previously bred dogs—shared, “It’s been so nice seeing all the dogs. I can’t pick one!”
Families and visitors also gave glowing feedback, thanking staff for organising an event that was both thoughtful and enjoyable for all ages.
As well as bringing smiles, the dog show also raised £100 for Greenwood Court’s Residents’ Comfort Fund, which will go towards an extra-special activity.
