Castor Lodge Care Home near Peterborough recently brought together healthcare professionals and local business owners for its first-ever Business and Brunch networking event.
Hosted at the care home in the village of Castor, the morning aimed to create space for meaningful conversations between professionals working across the area. Attendees included representatives from GP surgeries, community health teams, charities, and local businesses – all with a shared interest in supporting older people and strengthening community links.
Over fresh coffee, a selection of pastries, and non-alcoholic bellinis, guests discussed the projects they’re working on, shared challenges and ideas, and made valuable new connections in a relaxed and friendly setting.
As part of the morning, attendees had the chance to try the Country Court Mocktail of the Year – the Golden Russian – a refreshing drink created by Rebecca, Customer Service Manager at Fairfield Manor Care & Nursing Home. The mocktail was the winner of Country Court’s annual competition and is now served across all homes in the group.
Castor Lodge plans to host regular Business and Brunch events, as part of its commitment to working closely with local partners and supporting the wider community.
