Moat House Care Home in Great Easton, Essex, welcomed residents, families, and members of the local community to its Christmas Fair on Saturday, 29th November, from 2pm to 4pm. Around 30 visitors attended and enjoyed an afternoon of Christmas music, a caricaturist, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Guests were also invited to take part in the Best Christmas Jumper Competition, with prizes for both adults and children. Entry was open for a small donation, with proceeds contributing to the day’s fundraising.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of festive refreshments, including hot chocolate, mulled wine, mince pies, and cupcakes. The hot chocolate stand proved particularly popular. One resident’s daughter shared, “It’s so lovely to see Mum enjoying herself and taking part in the festivities.”
Home Manager Tara Crowe commented, “For many of our residents, the highlight of the day was simply having their families with them. It made the event truly meaningful for everyone involved.”
Customer Relations Manager Debbie Barber added, “A huge thank you to our wonderful stallholders for supporting us, and to all our guests, friends, and relatives who joined us. Your enthusiasm and festive spirit helped make the day special.”
