The team at Moat House Care Home in Great Easton, Essex, recently took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk, raising £476 in support of people living with dementia across the UK.
“There are around one million people across the UK living with a dementia diagnosis,” said Customer Relations Manager Debbie Barber. “Many of our residents are affected, and participating in the Memory Walk was our way of supporting this important cause.”
‘The walk involved a wide range of our staff team, including myself, Deputy Manager, Customer Relations Manager, Client Services Manager, Care Staff, Activities Team, Home Hairdresser, Receptionist, as well as the family members of the staff team.’ Commented Home Manager Tara Crowe.
“Well done everyone for doing the walk.”
“Good luck to all those participating — a great effort for a meaningful cause.”
“My husband has dementia and had a stay at Moat House last year. Every little helps.”
‘The team is already planning their next fundraising activity - the Harlow Colour Run 2026 in support of St Clare Hospice. We hope to involve other local Country Court homes, including The Grange and Greenwood Court, to increase our collective impact.’ Commented Customer Relations Manager Debbie Barber.
