Ruby Lodge Care Home in Thirsk recently held its Summer Family Fun Day, bringing together residents, families, friends and local community for an enjoyable afternoon of activities and community spirit.
The event featured a variety of craft stalls, music, and refreshments, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. Visitors had the opportunity to browse and purchase a range of items, including artwork, plush toys, jewellery, trinkets, and handmade gifts. We were pleased to welcome several local stall holders, including Lara Nursery, The Rainbow Care Group, Francs Fancies, The Richardson and The Flowers & The Bee Floristry, among others, whose support and creativity added to the success of the day.
‘A big thank you to Dynamics! They’re a wonderful community acoustic wind band dedicated to having fun with friends while they rehearse and perform at local events. Their mission is all about giving back positively to our community. They play a fantastic mix of music, from classical gems to beloved hits from the Beatles, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, and so many more. Our visitors and residents absolutely loved it!’ Commented Customer Relations Manager Jane Crisp.
‘A highlight of our event was the craft competition, which included categories for Best Knitted Item, Best Handmade Model, Best Arrangement, and Best Fruit and Veg. The entries were excellent, and it was great to see so much creativity and effort from everyone involved.’ Commented Home Manager Holly Hunton.
