Situated in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, Walberton Place Care Home near Arundel provides a comfortable and luxurious home for our residents. With a choice of places to socialise and relax, luxury en-suite rooms, a cinema, pub, bistro cafe and of course our beautiful courtyard garden.
All our rooms at Walberton are spacious, light and airy. Premium bedrooms boast a seating area with doors leading directly onto the courtyard and most rooms overlook the surrounding fields and countryside. All bedrooms are en-suite with walk-in wet rooms to aid independent living, however, there are assisted bathrooms on each floor for residents require a little more help with their personal care.
Our dedicated activities room with an 'OMi' interactive table featuring sensory games and activities is designed to stimulate residents with dementia. Residents are also able to enjoy sociable creative and craft groups or more personalised one-to-one activities and reminiscing too.
The Horse and Jockey pub is one of our most popular facilities, hosting activities such as pub quizzes, games and sociable events. Residents, families and friends are welcome to enjoy a drink or bar snack. We want our residents to enjoy life, to be able to relax and share good times with friends, as they always have done.
Our Honey Pot café serves hot and cold beverages, delicious cakes and bakes and snacks are available throughout the day. Residents often host regular coffee mornings amongst their friendship groups or invite local school children to make the most of the piano and entertain them with seasonal music and songs. Opening out onto the courtyard garden, the café is a year-round favourite with residents.
Movie night is a weekly highlight at our Sussex care home. We screen both classics and current feature films, and we’re always fielding requests from our residents. Our cinema area is specially designed for the comfort of all residents, ensuring those with sight and hearing difficulties can enjoy the cinema experience too.
Our light and airy dining rooms are clean and bright, with tables set ready to give residents a dignified and comfortable dining experience.
For many of our residents, spending time in the garden is their favourite pastime. We also have our Annual Country Court in Bloom competition which sparks a lot of joy – and rivalry! Residents enjoy sharing out gardening tasks, the more green-fingered having their own personal flowerbeds or vegetable patches to tend.
Our residents love a trip to see the hairdresser at our Elegance Hair Salon, right in the comfort of their own home. For many of our residents, a set and blow-dry is part of their weekly calendar, and with our nail bar, we offer a complete beauty and wellbeing treat. This service is all part of the package at Walberton Place.
