A Dream Come True: Violet Visits Abbey Gardens with The Grange Care Home

Violet, a resident of The Grange Care Home in Newport near Saffron Walden, had a wonderful day out at Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds. , It was Violet’s wish to see the beautiful flowers there, especially the sunflowers, which are her favourite. Abbey Gardens is a park that features formal gardens, ruins, sports facilities, and an aviary. The wellbeing staff team at the home organized the visit as part of the Country Court ‘Make a Wish’ initiative. The initiative allows residents to tell members of staff about somewhere they had always wanted to go or a special activity they had always wanted to do.

Wish Granted for resident Violet -

‘Violet was joined by her family, Jan and Frank, who were delighted to share this experience with her. We also had residents Jan and Sybil join us for our outing. Everyone ventured around the gardens, admiring the colourful flowers and the scenic views. They also enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine, listening to the birds singing nearby.’ Commented Wellbeing Coordinator Yvonne Gray.

Violet and her family thanked The Grange Care Home and the staff for making this wish come true. They said they had a lovely time and made some beautiful memories.

The staff at The Grange Care Home are always happy to help their residents fulfil their dreams and wishes. They love to see their residents smile and have fun. Lijo Varghese, the Home Manager, said that this was one of the best parts of his job.
