Staff and residents at Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon were joined by families for a fun and entertaining 1980’s party to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their parent company Country Court. Everyone enjoyed live entertainment with food and refreshments to follow.
Country Court was founded by Roshan Bogha and the current Chairman, Abdul Kachra in 1983. Their first care home was Beech Lodge Care & Nursing Home in Holbeach, with the group now boasting 36 care and nursing homes across the UK. Throughout June Country Court will be celebrating their 40th anniversary with 1980s themed parties in all of their care homes.
Mother and daughter singing duo Lesley Ann & Katie Rose joined the party at Ferrars Hall, they sang a varied set list from the 1970’s and 1980’s. Resident’s enjoyed classics from Tina Turner and Elton John and they were able to recite most of the song’s lyrics. The performers also threw in some fun party classic songs like the hokey cokey. ‘Residents danced the whole afternoon, Anne enjoyed the music so much. Susan the daughter of resident Ruby commented ‘The afternoon has been nice to enjoy with mum and her friends’.
Other guests commented ‘The 40 years and 80’s themed colourful decorations have been brilliant. The home has really gone all out. We especially liked the personalised cakes to celebrate 40 years it was a lovely touch’.

All the residents have thoroughly enjoyed the 80’s themed music, and it was great to see staff dressing up in the spirit of the 80’s too.
