Blue Light Workers treated to breakfast at Lyncroft Care Home

During the last week of November, staff at Lyncroft Care Home in Wisbech treated Blue Light workers to a full English breakfast to show their appreciation for all their hard work. Throughout the week, Lyncroft welcomed Paramedics, Ambulance Crews, District Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Prison Officers, Domiciliary and Community Carers to enjoy breakfast before or after their shifts.

Mel Cushen, Customer Relations Manager, commented on the initiative.

“We always offer drinks and snacks whenever a Blue Light worker visits our home, but we wanted to give a little more to say thank you and to thank the wider community in and around Wisbech.

We wanted to thank our blue light friends as they work tirelessly for the community, too often without a proper break to refresh themselves. In our experience, the Blue Light Workers who support us at Lyncroft go above and beyond their duties.

It has been well received in our local community, not just by those who joined us for breakfast, but also by people on Facebook who thanked us.

One person commented on Facebook.

“This is an awesome gesture to our emergency services. Well done, Lyncroft.”

Amanda Grower, from the Ambulance Service, also commented.

“Thank you all for a beautiful breakfast. Fantastic place that we keep close to our hearts.”
