Lostock Lodge Care Home garden project receives boost from Lane End Construction

Staff and residents at Lostock Lodge Care Home in Lostock Lodge near Northwich were delighted to receive a generous donation to their garden project this week. Lane End Construction, who are working on a large retirement village construction project near to the care home, presented the staff with a cheque for £500 to boost their garden project fund.

Lostock Lodge Care Home is taking part in Country Court’s annual gardening competition Country Court in Bloom. The team at the care home are hoping to revamp an area of their garden and approached Lane End to see if they had any spare paving slabs. On hearing about the project, Lane End was keen to get more involved. Site Manager Bob Southgate and Community Manager Lauren Banner from Lane End Construction presented the cheque to Home Manager Allison Kennie and are keen to go back to the home once it is open to visitors to see how the project turns out. “We are very grateful to Lane End Construction,” said Home Manager Allison Kennie “They have been very supportive over the last 12 months; we’ve received beautiful flowers and several raffle prizes too”.

“It’s great for our residents to feel that we are supported by the local community,” said Nina Rogers, Customer Relations Manager at Lostock Lodge “We get quite competitive over our Country Court in Bloom competition, and our residents love to get outdoors and enjoy their outdoor space, so this is a fantastic boost for them.”
