Staff, residents and families at Lyncroft Care Home in Wisbech are delighted with their latest CQC report, which continued to rate them ‘Good’ in all areas. The report stated that “People continued to receive care from staff who were kind and caring. People's privacy and dignity was protected and promoted.”
“The staff team here at Lyncroft Care Home go the extra mile every day to deliver fantastic care and meaningful opportunities for our residents”. said Alykhan Kachra, Managing Director of Country Court Care. “We are delighted that this has been reflected in the report findings”
The report highlighted; ‘We observed people were treated with kindness and were positive about the staff's caring attitude. We received feedback from people and relatives which supported this. One person told us, "The staff are magnificent; they treat us very well" A relative said, "I think they're excellent". Each person had their life history recorded which staff used to get to know people and to build positive relationships with them.’
The inspectors noted that staff showed genuine concern for people and were keen to ensure people’s rights were upheld. Staff were seen to offer individualised care in a compassionate way, taking time to ask residents how they wanted to spend their time or choose what they wanted. When asked about visiting the home one relative commented “It's easy-going; no rules and regulations which is nice, for instance, some people bring in their dogs. It's more like their home than a home"
The report described the home as ‘well-run’ and the manager was committed to ensuring that a high-quality service was provided. The report found that the home had good links with the local community reflecting the needs and preferences of service users.
Lyncroft Care Home in Wisbech offers residential and dementia care for up to 39 adults, the extension and refurbishment of the home will create 14 new en-suite bedrooms, bistro café and themed pub.
