On Friday, 6th October, Moat House Care Home, in Great Easton near Great Dunmow, was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Peter Childs. Cllr Childs cut the ribbon together with Country Court Chairman Abdul Kachra. Moat House is the latest care home to be opened by the award-winning Peterborough-based care home operator and will provide residential and dementia care for up to sixty-six people.
Throughout the weekend visitors were welcomed to the care home which sits in the beautifully landscaped gardens of Moat Park Retirement Village and has undergone a show-stopping refurbishment by its new operator Country Court. Country Court has thirty-eight care and nursing homes across the UK with a forty-year track record of providing luxury person-centred residential and specialist dementia care.
On the day, staff were delighted to offer tours, food and live music to visitors from the local community. One visitor commented “It’s a stunning home. I’ve never known a home offer its residents, their families and local community so much under one roof. It’s simply wonderful that you have all this available for them”.
Deputy Mayor Peter Childs said “I am delighted to be invited today on behalf of the Mayor of Great Dunmow who sadly couldn’t make it today, to witness what a wonderful addition this Care Home will be to Great Easton. I wish Moat House Care Home every success!”.
