Susannah Barker-Milan, Home Manager at Eccleshare Court Care Home in Lincoln, has won the Dementia Care Manager 2018 at the 20th National Care Awards. Susannah was presented with her award by host Jon Culshaw at the high-profile Gala Night held on Friday, 30th December at the Hilton London Metropole attended by over 700 guests.
The judges chose Susannah following her turn-around of a care home that required improvement, driven through encouraging positive risk taking and leading effective changes in management. Susannah took a change in career to improve the lives of everyone at Eccleshare Court and is building a sense of community in the home and local area.
