All of our 47 bedrooms come with en-suite shower rooms and are bright, comfortable and homely to provide privacy and safety for all. These rooms are our residents own space to relax, with staff on hand to help with any care needs. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own possessions, providing a talking point and opportunity for us to get to know them better.
Our lounge is tastefully furnished with little touches to make residents relaxed and comfortable, particularly those living with dementia. Residents can settle into their favourite chair or join their friends on the sofa for a chat over a cup of tea, just as they would at home. For our residents in need of nursing, our facilities are exceptional, geared to the delivery of individual medical care.
Our dining areas are clean, light and welcoming. We always ensure our tables are set ready for the following meal and are inviting spaces for residents to join their friends, making meals a sociable occasion.
The weekly trip to our very own salon is a treat that everyone looks forward to. Our hairdresser caters for all ladies and gents’ styles and many enjoy hand pampering and nail treatments too.
Our shop is located alongside our café and hair salon making our ‘village street’ a regular destination for our residents. Taking the opportunity to stock up on everyday essentials such as toiletries and snacks without leaving the comfort of their home is someone our residents really enjoy - it’s a great way to take part in one of life’s simple routines.
For many of our residents, spending time in the garden is their favourite pastime. Our landscaped outdoor space allows them to continue this in safety and security. The garden at Ashwood is a source of much pride as residents take the lead in maintaining and developing it as they plant, water and tend to plants and shrubs they’ve chosen.
Our pub is a great place for residents and their visitors to enjoy a drink, whether it's a pint of lager or healthy orange juice, the pub is an ideal place to relax and socialise. We regularly host pub quizzes, games and entertainment just as you'd find at your village local.
