Our 60 bedrooms at Fenchurch House Care Home are bright, light and comfortable. Residents can personalise their rooms with belongings that are meaningful to them. Residents can choose a ground floor room that opens out into the garden or a room on the first floor that overlooks the gardens. Whatever the preference, all rooms come with private en-suite, walk-in shower rooms.
Our dining rooms are clean, bright and inviting, residents are encouraged to take their meals in the shared dining areas in the company of their friends. Tables are set ready for each meal, just as you would expect in a restaurant and front of house staff are on hand to serve and assist with meals as required.
For more formal or special occasions, families can take advantage of our private dining room. The dining room is your space for the day to relax and enjoy time with family and friends, as you would at home. Our chef and hospitality team are at your disposal, providing a bespoke menu to make birthdays and anniversaries truly special and memorable occasions - just ask us what we can do.
Our lounge areas are tastefully decorated with attention to detail in the design and layout that makes you feel instantly at home. Residents can settle in their favourite chair or join their friends on the sofa for a chat over a cup of tea. Families and visitors are welcome to join residents in the lounge, residents can take part in group activities or just enjoy quietly reading or watching TV.
Residents will love a trip to the salon to see the hairdresser or barber, maintaining one of life's routines is so good for well-being. For many residents, a set and blow-dry is part of their weekly calendar, our beauty bar features a nail painting area and make-up for special occasions.
Our in-home pubs are one of our most popular facilities. Whether it's a half-pint of bitter, orange juice or a glass of wine, an hour in the pub is a real social occasion. Our pub is a place for our residents to enjoy life, to be able to relax and share good times with friends, as they always have done.
Movie night is a weekly highlight at Fenchurch House. Whether it's a classic or recent feature film, our residents choose the films and settle down with popcorn and drinks to enjoy their favourite movie. Our quiet lounge has been designed for the comfort of all residents to ensure those with sight and hearing difficulties can enjoy the experience too.
Our beautifully landscaped Mediterranean Gardens contain stunning 12-year-old palm trees from Spain and 100-year-old Olive trees. Residents can move easily around the wheelchair-friendly paths with quirky design features greeting them around every corner. From six-foot-high metal giraffe and leaping antelope sculptures to wooden carts and oak benches, there is plenty to see and do in the garden.
Suria is one of Country Court Care’s longest serving employees, having started working at Ashwood Nursing Home in 1998 as a night nurse. After working as a Home Manager for ten years, Suria was promoted to Area Manager in 2008 and later Operations Manager. Suria brings a wealth of experience and clinical knowledge to Fenchurch House and looks forward to sharing best practices.
Morgan is the first point of contact for families seeking care for a loved one, she has lots of experience of guiding families through the process of choosing and moving into a care home. Morgan has worked for Country Court since 2019 at our sister home in Tallington. She is passionate about person-centred care and looks forward to meeting you.
