Our 53 bedrooms at Lyncroft Care Home are spacious & tastefully furnished, but our residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings which often become talking points, especially for those new to our home. All bedrooms are en-suite with walk-in wet rooms, however, there are assisted bathrooms on each floor for residents who prefer a bath or require a little more help with their personal care.
Our lounge & dining areas are bright, airy and spacious and inviting areas for residents to spend time with their friends & relatives, sitting quietly or enjoying sociable activities. Our ground floor dining area opens out into our enclosed courtyard so people can enjoy alfresco dining in the summer. In the winter, our lounges are cosy, warm & homely spaces for people to be sociable and relaxed.
The Fisherman’s Arms pub is one of our most popular facilities. We regularly host pub quizzes, games and fish and chip Fridays for the full pub experience. We want our residents to enjoy life, to be able to relax and share good times with friends, just as they always have done at their local.
Our Botanist Bistro serves hot and cold beverages, and delicious cakes plus snacks are available every day. Tastefully furnished, the décor in the bistro complements the original features of our home. Residents often host regular coffee mornings amongst their friendship groups, just as you would arrange to meet up with any of your friends at your favourite coffee shop.
For many of our residents spending time in the garden is their favourite pastime and we’ve got plenty of space for them to enjoy. Residents share gardening tasks, some having their own personal flowerbeds or vegetable patches to tend. Our secure courtyard has accessible outdoor seating areas, allowing people to enjoy the outdoors whilst taking in the delights of our own fishpond.
Our residents love a trip to the salon to see the hairdresser or barber, it’s so good for well-being. For many of our residents a set and blow dry are part of their weekly calendar, and our Elegance Salon features a beauty bar with nail painting - and makeup for special occasions.
Our dedicated relaxation room is a wonderful retreat for residents who enjoy a quiet space for a massage, pedicure or treatment. Ideal for those living with dementia, people can enjoy a relaxing sensory experience.
Our library is a quiet space for families to chat in privacy or for residents to read a book or magazine in a comfortable and homely retreat away from the busy main lounge areas.
