How our Staff Training helps us provide completely personalised care

At Country Court Care, we have a very simple approach to the care that we deliver. Everything that we do centres around our residents, their families and their stories. This belief is present in the training and recruitment of our staff right through to the high levels of care residents receive in our nationwide dementia care homes on a day-to-day basis.

Our resident-centric approach is summarised through our Company Values of Inspiring Leadership, Making things happen, Pursuit of excellence, and details matter.

Our company values

Our family values reflect who we are, what we stand for, and where we are headed as a company. They represent our shared commitment to delivering exceptional care and creating vibrant homes for our residents and their families – because we believe in celebrating and valuing the lives of older adults. Our mission is clear – we aim to create safe, luxurious, and nurturing environments where exceptional, person-centred care empowers each resident to live an enriched life with dignity and joy.

Country Court Care has been managing dementia care homes for over 40 years. During this time, we have learned that every resident in our care is different and in turn, requires a different approach to care. Whether your loved one has visited fifty different countries or spent most of their life in their hometown, we ensure that our staff can relate, understand and respond to them appropriately through our My Life Story books.

These books are a comprehensive record of each resident's childhood memories, photographs, experiences, likes and dislikes - a true summary of the individual’s life. Not only is this therapeutic, but it also enables our staff to study and truly understand the residents in their care. Through the My Life Story book, whenever your loved one makes a reference to their past, we can respond accordingly, enriching their daily life and creating a happier environment.

All of our residents complete a My Life Story book during the initial induction process and for dementia sufferers, we encourage close family members to help us obtain as much information as possible. Our My Life Story books are fundamental in achieving the exceptional level of personalised care that our residents and your loved ones deserve.

Fully Qualified and Specially Trained Staff

We currently operate nationally, varying from care homes in London through to nursing homes in Lincoln and Sheffield. Across our network, we ensure that our staff have been through comprehensive training, guaranteeing that they are well prepared and fully qualified for their role.

The individual training courses and qualifications that our staff hold vary depending on their job role. We require carers to have a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care and all of our nurses have Registered General Nurse (RGN) status.

Beyond this, we also offer additional training and work with external providers for more specialised courses. Through our additional training, we provide our staff with the appropriate skills to adapt their care based on each of our resident’s individual needs.

Below is a brief summary of the additional training that our staff can receive depending on their role. No matter the needs of our residents, we ensure that there is a member of staff with all the required skills to make their lives as easy and enjoyable as possible.
