Staff and residents at Abbey Grange Care & Nursing Home in Sheffield celebrated the 101st birthday of Lillian Russell this week. Lillian was born on the 24th July 1921 and has lived at Abbey Grange Care & Nursing Home since August 2021. Lillian’s secret to a long life is to always be friendly to others and to have a positive outlook on life!
Home Manager Kerry Peach said, “We wish Lillian a very happy 101st Birthday from everyone here at Abbey Grange. Lillian is a wonderful and much-loved member of our Abbey Grange family who lights up the room with her smile! She loves reading the daily newspaper, listening to music and chatting with other residents. It was lovely to see her enjoying her special day”.
Staff held an afternoon party for Lillian complete with balloons, a cake and a singer! Lillian was joined by her family and had a lovely time opening her cards and gifts.
