Chef Clare Lucas has been selected as a finalist for a prestigious Care Home Chef award at the regional 2020 Great British Care Awards. Clare has been the Chef Manager at Stanton Court Care & Nursing Home in Stanton Drew since 2002 and has been nominated for her high standards and dedicated approach. The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Clare has worked at Stanton Court for eighteen years and loves her job. Stanton Court has a warm, home from home feel and Clare’s catering is integral to ensuring residents feel comforted and at home. Commenting on her role as Chef at Stanton Court, Clare said “I love my job and I’m delighted and honoured to be selected as a finalist for this award. I love to get to know the residents here at Stanton Court and enjoy chatting with them and their families and getting their feedback”.
The winners of the South West Region Great British Care Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in July 2021 at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. Country Court wishes Clare and the rest of the nominees the very best of luck.
