Stanton Court Care & Nursing Home near Chew Magna recently took part in the Chew Magna Christmas Tree Festival at St Andrews Church in Chew Magna. The Chew Magna Christmas Festival is a festive event that involves local organisations creating themed Christmas trees for the community to vote upon and find their Christmas spirit from.
‘Jess & I did a bit of brainstorming about the theme for our tree and decided to go with a Country Court purple & red theme. We then made the Country Court House as our tree topper!’ Commented Home Administrator Laura Whiteway.
‘We decorated our Christmas tree with our residents’ handmade baubles and proudly displayed it at Chew Magna’s Christmas Tree Festival. Through our decorations, we depicted our residents and staff’s memories from throughout the year to show we are one big family here at Stanton Court.’ Commented Home Manager Wendy Perkins.
‘We received endless compliments on our Christmas tree which has left us feeling over the moon that all our hard work has been greatly received.’ Commented Well-being Coordinator Jess.
‘Thank you so much for the wonderful tree you and the residents at Stanton Court created for the Chew Magna Christmas Tree Festival. The tree was commented on by many and received quite an emotional response from people, coming joint third in the visitors’ poll for the favourite tree. Hundreds of people visited the festival, and it was good to show that even though Stanton Court isn’t in Chew Magna it is an important part of our local community. Your tree is now gracing St Mary’s Church in Stanton Drew, where we will keep it for Christmas.’ Commented Reverand Richard Greatrex
