Lyncroft staff complete 5k bubble rush for local children's hospice

Staff at Lyncroft Care Home in Wisbech completed the King’s Lynn Bubble Rush 2019 raising over £300. The proceeds will be shared between the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and Lyncroft Resident’s Comfort Fund.

Nine members of the care home’s staff team, together with their children took part in the event, completing a 5km circuit whilst getting covered in multi-coloured bubbles. Starting in a sea of bubbles, the 5k course featured four Bubble Stations along the route with cannons pumping out coloured foam. The team could choose how they took on the bubbles! Dancing, dashing, walking or toddling at their own pace!

It was a really fun way to raise money for this fantastic charity.  We are always looking for innovative ways to raise some extra money for our residents too” said Deputy Home Manager, Clair Baker-Taylor “Everyone loved getting covered, especially the children!”.

Staff who took part were: Clair Baker-Taylor Deputy Manager, Karen Goodger Care Assistant and daughter Chloe Goodger, Stacy Pearson Care Assistant, Stacey Webb Care Assistant, Peter Munson Maintenance, Vicky Dale Housekeeper and children, Hannah Saul Housekeeper and children, and Alex Symonds Catering Assistant.

Since 2015, Bubble Rush events around the UK have helped to raise £2.5 million for local charities.
