Marling Court Care Home delighted with Good CQC report

Residents and staff at Marling Court Care Home are celebrating after receiving their latest CQC Report, rating them ‘Good’ in all areas following a recent unannounced inspection. Marling Court Care Home provides long term residential and dementia care for up to 42 residents in Hampton, south-west London.

Home Manager, Dil Perera, was very pleased that the report highlighted the home’s clear vision, promoting high-quality, person-centred care. “We are proud of the warm welcome everyone receives here at Marling Court, staff go above and beyond every day to ensure people feel well cared for and retain their independence.”

 “We are delighted that our family values are reflected in the report findings,” said Alykhan Kachra, Managing Director of Country Court. “We are very proud of the care we provide for our residents every single day.”

Inspectors noted that residents appeared to be relaxed and felt safe living at Marling Court Care Home, people commented that the home is "A very safe place to live." A relative told inspectors, "I feel comfortable and have peace of mind leaving [person] here.". The report noted that the atmosphere at the home was relaxed and welcoming, with a relative saying, "You walk in and get that good feeling."

The report found that people had care plans that included health, nutrition, diet information and health action plans. Staff encouraged people to have a healthy diet and made sure people were eating properly. Meals accommodated people's religious beliefs, activities, their preferences and they chose if they wished to eat with each other or on their own. One person told the inspection team, "The food is really good."

Inspectors found that people were treated with dignity and respect, one relative commented that staff were, "Absolutely brilliant." Another relative told them, "Staff are all really nice and get on well with everyone." Staff were found to be passionate and committed about the care they provided and people they provided it for. Care was seen to be delivered in an empowering and thoughtful way. One person said, "I can't speak highly enough of the staff."

Marling Court is rated ‘Good’ across all the CQC categories of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. Read the full CQC report for Marling Court Care Home here:
