Oakview Lodge Care & Nursing Home in Welwyn Garden City recently reached a significant milestone as it celebrated its 6th anniversary. This achievement was commemorated with a delightful cake, a memorable afternoon party, and the warm companionship of both staff and residents.

Wellbeing Coordinator Rachel Davies, reflecting on the early days of the home, shared, "I began my time at Oakview Lodge on January 12th, 2018, and every moment has been a cherished experience. We've encountered our fair share of challenges, but the bonds made between our staff and residents have made it all worthwhile. Meeting new people and hearing the incredible stories and experiences of our residents has been an enriching journey."
One of the first residents at Oakview Lodge, Dorothy White, can still recall her very first moments at the home commenting ‘My first meal at Oakview was pea soup and it was bright green. It tasted amazing'.
‘Our wonderful Home Manager Clare Twiss made a terrific cake which was beautifully decorated. At the party the residents enjoyed dancing to a great selection of music. It was a truly heartwarming afternoon, everyone who has supported Oakview throughout the years came to support us.’ Commented Wellbeing Coordinator Rachel Davies.
