Peter celebrates Healthcare hero award

Country Court Infection Control Lead Peter Widdowson has been presented with a prestigious Knight Frank Healthcare Hero Award which recognises social care sector heroes throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Peter has played a pivotal role at Country Court as a source of advice and information for their thirty-three care homes up and down the country.

Peter has shown great dedicating and commitment during this very difficult time”. Said Abdul Kachra, Chairman of Country Court. “All of our teams have had to be resourceful and creative in their response to this unprecedented crisis. Our primary aim has been to ensure that our homes are equipped to protect residents and staff as best we can. Peter has championed excellent infection control, developed great relationships with staff and has become our key source of advice and information for our care homes. Peter is now leading our infection control and prevention strategy for the Country Court group.”

The Knight Frank Healthcare Heroes Awards are new awards, launched in response to the pandemic, organisers saw some fantastic nominations from across the country. Submissions focused on individuals who had shown tremendous leadership, empathy and compassion throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as well as leading efforts around infection control and commitment to creative thinking to ensure social care residents and customers felt safe and secure throughout these unprecedented times.
