St John’s Care Home in Spalding have been awarded a ‘Top 20 Care Home’ award for the East Midlands Region.
The awards are part of the annual carehome.co.uk Top 20 care homes awards based on over 90,000 reviews from care home residents as well as their friends and family. St John’s has a score of 9.9 out of 10, taken from the average of their reviews.
Commenting on the award Jolene Anderson, Home Manager at St John’s said, “We are very proud to be recognised as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in our region. We would like to thank all our residents, relatives and friends who took the time to review us. Our staff team at St John’s go above and beyond every day to ensure our residents have the best possible quality of life as part of our family here at St John’s.”
One reviewer commented; “Dad is being looked after very well. His room is kept clean and tidy. Managers and staff are extremely kind, helpful and understanding they all make you feel very welcome. If you have any questions, you need answering they will all try to help or find someone who can.”
Another family member said; “Mum began living at St John’s In July 2020 and has been comfortable, happy and safe there during the worse of the Covid pandemic. She has a nice room/en-suite, which is her base and personal space and enjoys interacting with the care team who are friendly, helpful, kind and good company. If ever Mum has been ill, she has had excellent care, and we have been kept up to date, especially when we were unable to visit. Mum likes to take part in organised crafts etc/other resident activities and because she has difficulty swallowing, the chef is happy to accommodate her dietary needs. St John’s is kept very fresh and clean and has a lovely, homely feel with a nice garden and friendly atmosphere. There are visits from the hairdresser, chiropodist, optician etc, and there is a nice coffee shop. Mum has taken a basic mobile phone with her which she keeps in her room so that we can telephone her and she can ring us. All in all, we think we have been lucky to find St John’s.”
In addition to the individual award, Country Court have been awarded a 'Top 20 Recommended Care Home Group 2021' Award for the sixth consecutive year. Unlike other awards the carehome.co.uk Top 20 award is based on the actual and impartial experiences of people living in Country Court homes making them unique in this respect.
The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards highlight the most recommended Care Homes in each region of the UK and the Top 20 Care Home Groups in the UK. The Awards are based on the Individual and Group Review Score, as of 28th February 2021.
