Tallington Lodge Care Home in Tallington near Stamford won the Best Regeneration Project at the 2020 Pinders Healthcare Awards. Tallington Lodge scooped the award following an extensive refurbishment and extension project which has seen the home grow from 31 beds to a specialist dementia care home for up to 60 people.

The new areas of Tallington Lodge feature the Railway Inn pub, Gallery café and luxurious lounge and dining areas. The scheme has involved the partial demolition of the old care home to make way for a new sympathetically designed two-story front extension in keeping with the original Regency period rectory.
The project was led by Nottingham based architects Linestyle and building contractor MV Construction. Employer’s agent & quantity surveying services were supplied by Edward Cooper Young Chartered Surveyors and interior design by Samantha Lord Interiors Ltd.
Pinders have been organising the Healthcare Design Awards since 1999, 650 guests celebrated the Awards with a lavish lunch at the Royal Lancaster London Hotel on 13th March. The Awards aim to promote and recognise the very best developments in all types of care-related property. Whilst architectural standards and innovation are key factors, the overriding element in deciding the winning project is the degree to which it has recognised the needs and desires of the service-users and incorporated these into the final design.
