The Grange Care Home in Newport is hosting virtual Open Days on Friday 18th and Sunday 20th December from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm. The Grange is a new luxury care home, offering family-led residential and specialist dementia care.
“In these difficult time older people are particularly vulnerable at home,” said Home Manager Hayley Smith. “If people are concerned about how they or an elderly relative is coping and would like to have more support, then we are here to help. We usually love welcoming visitors to see our home in person, but to keep our residents safe and ensure they maintain contact with their loved ones, we are only facilitating family visits. As a result, we’ve had to come up with an alternative way for people to see what we have to offer here at The Grange.”
Appointments will take place via a video call which is booked in advance with Customer Relations Advisor Priya Virdee who will take people on a virtual walk around the home.
“We hope that our virtual tours will help people get a feel for life in our care home,” said Priya “They will have a chance to say hello to our residents and chat with staff members if they wish to as well. We understand that people may be unsure of making a move to a care home during this difficult time so we hope that this will be an opportunity to put people’s mind at rest and give them a feel for the support and care that we offer here at The Grange”.
