Residents and staff at Lakeview Lodge Care Home in Milton Keynes enjoyed hosting a sports day last week in support of Country Court in Bloom, the annual gardening competition organised by Country Court, the company behind Lakeview. Reminiscent of their schools’ days a range of inclusive races were organised so all could take part.
Residents competed to win for their teams which consisted off the ‘Top floor Tornados’ the ‘Middle Floor Muddlers’ and the ‘Ground Floor Grizzlier’s’. Residents and staff cheered their friends along with pom pom’s as they competed in a range of races including The Egg & spoon race, Three-Legged Race, Ring Toss and Water Balloon Throwing.
“We all had a wonderful day; it was lovely to see everyone come together in a supportive atmosphere. It brought out our resident’s competitive side and it was wonderful to see the smiles on their faces when they won.
