Staff at Somerset House Care & Nursing Home in Wheldrake recently made resident Joyce’s wish come true. Joyce wished for a Spa Day so that she could feel pampered and enjoy a full day of relaxation. As part of the Country Court ‘Make a Wish’ initiative, residents are given the opportunity to tell members of staff about somewhere they had always wanted to go, something they’ve always dreamed of having or a special activity they would like to do.
‘Joyce has always enjoyed the pamper sessions we hold within our home. Especially getting her nails painted and having a face mask.’ Commented activity coordinator Jeanette Towsey.
‘To grant Joyce’s wish we booked her a Spa Day at The Parsonage Hotel & Spa in Escrick. Joyce was treated to a spa day ‘chill out’ pass with full use of all the facilities within the spa. Joyce commented on her trip to the spa saying ‘I really enjoyed it and I’m quite pleased with my treatments. I also enjoyed a nice drink in the restaurant next door’.
