Set in the heart of the community in Stocksbridge, Belmont House Care & Nursing Home is a real home from home. Belmont House is tastefully furnished and has a comfortable feel. Our welcoming communal areas provide a place to relax in familiar surroundings, with all the facilities required to provide dedicated nursing and residential care.
Our forty-two bedrooms are spacious and bright, with any adaptions required to meet an individual’s care and nursing requirements able to be made. Bedrooms are residents’ private spaces to relax and be comfortable, safe in the knowledge that our dedicated care team is on hand to help with anything they require.
Our lounge and dining areas at Belmont House Care Home in Barnsley are homely and comfortable. Residents can choose their favourite spot to relax or chat with their friends on the sofa over a cup of tea or join in with group activities such as gentle exercise, crafts and games. Friends and family are welcome to join residents, popping in any time for a catch-up.
Everyone at Belmont House loves a trip to the salon to see the hairdresser or barber and it always leaves a sense of wellbeing and warm glow afterwards. For many of us a set and blow dry are part of our weekly routine, while our Activities and Well-being Coordinators provide pampering, nail painting and even makeup for special occasions.
Our garden at Belmont House has been a great source of joy for residents, especially for those living with dementia. Having undergone a recent makeover it now offers well-kept seating areas and a great location for outdoor activities in the summer months from gardening and games to afternoon tea and summer bar-b-ques.
Joanne has worked at Belmont House Nursing Home in Barnsley for over 16 years. She has had a variety of roles from housekeeping to care and is now Home Manager. Joanna lives locally in Stocksbridge, she is passionate about nursing and dementia care and loves managing the staff team. Her motto is 'happy staff equal happy residents'.
Yvonne takes time to get to know every resident’s likes and dislikes in order to accommodate everyone’s interests. Yvonne arranges trips to local places of interest around Stocksbridge including local church services, community events and summertime seaside trips.
