St John's Care Home in Spalding is fully equipped to provide the highest standards of residential and dementia care and support. Our bedrooms are luxurious and tastefully decorated, making them comfortable and relaxing places. Residents are encouraged to bring personal belongings with them, which often become talking points especially for those new to our home.
Light, bright and spacious, our communal lounge and dining areas take full advantage of the original features of our home, with full height windows giving views overlooking our garden. Residents can find a quiet spot to enjoy reading or a chat with friends, or if they are feeling sociable, they can join in with group activities and entertainment.
Our dining rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and welcoming, ensuring residents look forward to joining their friends from the coming meal. Our front of house team is on hand to support residents at mealtimes, serve drinks and ensure that they have everything they need to make dining a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Our pub is one of our most popular facilities. Whether it’s a half-pint of bitter, fruit juice or a glass of wine, an hour in the pub is a real social occasion for our residents. Just as you would expect in any local, residents can relax, enjoy life and share good times with friends, as they always have done.
For many of our residents, a set and blow dry are part of their weekly calendar! They love a trip to the salon to see the hairdresser, and we find it is a great boost for well-being. For those that like to keep their nails looking smart, our activities team are on hand to offer hand pampering and manicures too.
Serving hot and cold beverages, delicious cakes and bakes and with snacks available around the clock, our cafe is a popular place here at St John’s. Residents often host regular coffee mornings for their friends and visitors, just as they would have arranged to meet up with friends at their favourite coffee shop in their local town or village.
For many of our residents, spending time in the garden is their favourite pastime. We also have our Annual Country Court in Bloom competition which sparks a lot of joy – and rivalry! Our residents have made their outdoor space their own, creating colourful murals and many enjoy divvying up gardening tasks between them - some even have their own personal flowerbeds or veg patches to tend to.
Violeta Latviene is our Home Manager at St John’s Care Home. She brings over 20 years of experience in the care sector, starting as a care assistant and working her way up, working in various departments. She is very passionate about Dementia care and recently became a safeguarding ambassador and is dedicated to providing the highest standards of person-centred care and support for our residents.
Natalie is our Deputy manager here at St John's. She has worked in care for more than 20 years, starting as a care assistant and working her way to Deputy Manager. Natalie is very passionate and caring towards the residents in her care and their families.
Morgan is the Customer Relations Manager and will be your first point of contact when making an enquiry for care at St John’s Care Home. She is here to help you through the whole journey of moving into our home, this includes: Answering any questions you have, helping to organise the move into our home and to ensure you or your loved one settles into life at St John’s.
Ida always goes the extra mile to ensure all residents are included in activities at St John’s Care Home. From local singers to Pets As Therapy dogs, visitors never fail to bring a smile to the faces of our residents. In spending time getting to know people, Ida and the Activity team are able to provide a wide range of crafts, games and quizzes enabling people to retain their links to Spalding.
