Baycroft Flitwick Care Home near Ampthill recently opened its doors to local professionals and community groups for a special Appreciation Brunch, created as a heartfelt thank you to those who have supported the home and helped build strong links within the local community.
The relaxed morning brought together representatives from Neville’s Funeral Directors, The Mobility Physio and a local knitting group, giving everyone the chance to enjoy good food, warm conversation and meaningful connections. The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate ongoing partnerships and strengthen relationships between the home and the wider community.
Attendees enjoyed a delicious breakfast spread featuring freshly baked pastries, bacon rolls, croissants, and a fresh fruit platter. The informal setting created the perfect environment for meaningful networking conversations, with discussions focused on upcoming events and ways to work more closely together for the benefit of residents and the wider community.

Guests shared positive feedback about the event and the home itself, commenting: ‘It’s such a welcoming and friendly home, Baycroft Flitwick’. Others also expressed their enjoyment of attending events at the home and confirmed that they would be delighted to participate in future activities, where possible.
‘The brunch also led to new ideas for working together. We spoke with the local knitting group, who also volunteer at Keech Hospice, about organising a shopping experience at the home.
