Residents at Birkin Lodge Care & Nursing Home were delighted to welcome friends, family, and visitors to their care home for a delicious summer BBQ. Families and residents enjoyed the BBQ which featured a raffle to win cakes donated by SweeterPeter, a local bakery.
Residents and visitors relaxed in the garden whilst enjoying entertainment provided by the care home’s Administrator, Becky Saunders, and one of Birkin Lodge’s visitors, Christina Green. There were a variety of refreshments and the delicious BBQ cooked by the home’s catering team was enjoyed by all.
“We had a wonderful afternoon,” said Home Manager, Josephine Tenwick. “We’d like to thank everyone who came along and supported our event. Our residents had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed seeing lots of people in the garden enjoying the music and sunshine”. Wellbeing Coordinator Lizzie Penman-Green entertained visitors and residents in a Hotdog costume which brought many laughs! “It’s great to be able to welcome people to our home, it’s so important for our residents to feel part of the community here in Tunbridge Wells and we hope to have lots more events like this in the future.”
