Carpenders Park Care Home in Watford successfully launched their community coffee mornings on Wednesday 15th May from 10 am – 11 am. Staff were delighted to welcome people from the local area and surrounding villages for refreshments and a friendly conversation.
‘Our coffee morning was a huge success we had over 20 people attend; the atmosphere was so lovely. People were offered a tour of the home and were in awe of our fantastic facilities. The wonderful kitchen team produced an array of delicious cakes for people to enjoy with their tea and coffee after their tour.’ Commented Home Manager Claire Masterson.
‘Everyone we welcomed into our home interacted with one another so well. They went from being strangers to friends by the end of the coffee morning. It’s been great to create such a social and welcoming environment for our local community to embark upon.’ Commented Home Administrator Fay Hylton.
'During the event, we had the pleasure of celebrating Vivian’s birthday, one of our attendees at the community coffee morning. We surprised her with a cake and candle, and everyone gathered to sing 'Happy Birthday,' making it a memorable occasion," shared Home Manager Claire Masterson.

The next community coffee morning at Carpenders Park Care Home will be held on Wednesday 5th June from 10 am to 11 am and then will be every first Wednesday of the month thereafter. Everyone is welcome to come along.
